Who we are looking for

We’re looking for an experienced Agronomy Lead to bridge the gap between technology and the field. You’ll play a pivotal role in conducting field trials, guiding crop and soil strategies, and collaborating with our engineering and product teams to shape the future of agriculture.

Overview:

We are looking for a Lead Agronomist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in agriculture and a keen interest in emerging technologies such as automation, robotics, and precision agriculture. The Junior Agronomist will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and software developers, to implement a beer testing environment and enhance crop production and farm management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Agronomic Support: Provide technical expertise in crop management, soil science, and plant biology to support the development of agricultural robotics. Assist in monitoring crop health, analyzing field data, and identifying optimal farming practices that can provide the best testing conditions. Participate in field trials, collecting data on crop performance, soil quality, and other agronomic factors to validate robotic systems.

Collaboration with Engineering Teams: Work closely with robotics engineers and the Testing team to help test, provide feedback, and improve robotic systems. Field Testing and Deployment: Assist in the deployment of robotic systems in agricultural fields, providing hands-on support during installation, calibration, and troubleshooting. Monitor and document the performance of robotic systems in real-world conditions, ensuring their alignment with agronomic principles and goals.

Crop Analysis and Reporting: Providing timely updates and reports. Report findings and provide recommendations for adjustments to enhance both agronomic outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Plant Science, or a related field.
  • Good understanding of crop management, soil health, irrigation, and pest control.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies in agriculture, such as drones, sensors, and autonomous machines, would be an advantage.
  • Field experience with farming operations is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments and conduct fieldwork.
  • Enthusiasm for technology-driven solutions in agriculture.
  • Willingness to travel to field sites and farms in different locations across the country.
